Importing historical results

As you continue to create digital archives of your historical results, SIDEARM has created some options to upload that information in bulk.

SCHEDULE ALREADY EXISTS ON THE SITE

If you've already imported/created your archived schedules, you'll want to import the results.

If uploading each individual event XML, you can use the QuickScores option under schedule management. There, you can select the specific schedule from the drop-down at the top-right and then attach each event XML file before saving.

This method is ideal as the individual XML files allow you to populate the results and box score links on each event plus populate the cumulative stats pages historically.

SCHEDULE DOESN'T EXIST ON THE SITE YET

If the schedule doesn't exist on the site yet, you can easily import the events AND the results at the same time with a team.xml file.

Just go to Schedule Management>Import Schedule on the admin side of your site and instead of an Excel file, attach the team.xml file from the season. In the next step, you'll associate each field to the fields in the team.xml file. When you import using this method, the schedule will be imported along with the result from the team.xml file.
