Story Lock Management

Modified on Mon, 4 Mar, 2019 at 3:38 PM

Story lock management will prevent a non-super admin user from accessing a story or sport file that is currently being worked on by another user. This is beneficial for those who have multiple individuals who access and could potentially be working on similar pages.

When a lock occurs, you will notice that user's name appearing in the 'lock' column in the story/sport file management sections. When an item is locked, a different user cannot edit it unless they have super admin access or the page has been saved, lifting the lock.

To further help manage locks, we have added sections where a super admin user can view and remove any existing locks for a story or sport file.

This feature doesn't prevent someone from having multiple locks.

If the user continues to work in story/sportfile management after saving, they can enter another story and create an additional "lock".

If a user enters another area of the CMS that isn't within stories or sportfiles it will release all of that users locks.
