Like uploading an XML box score in SIDEARM, go to the respective tennis schedule and click on the “Results” button for the event. In the next screen, click on the browse button, locate the file on your computer, and choose the file. You will be brought back to the “Results” screen, where you can upload the XTG file.
You will notice the option that says "In this file, we are the:" with home and away radio buttons. When you mark a game as home or away in the schedule, these options will default to that settings. However, if it is a neutral site game, then be sure to check whether you are the home or away team in the game file and set the correct button prior to upload.
One of the common issues schools have encountered is XTG files will not upload if there are special characters in the file. Most commonly, there is an ampersand in the file. You can replace the ampersand, utilizing Notepad to fix the file.
In Notepad, navigate to where the ampersands are located. You will then replace the “&” with the code “&” in the file. Typically, you will see this in the beginning of the file and again before the actual player statistics.

Once those changes are made, save the file and try to upload the file.
As previously stated, any special characters will break the file. Ampersands are the ones that we see most often, but any special characters in last names will break files, as well. You can replace those characters with the correct HTML code in Notepad, then upload.
