Adding a New Story - Story Text & Teaser Tab

The Story Editor is your tool for adding content to the site in stories, sport files, player bios, and you will also find it in the Extended Options on Splash Pages and Ads. The editor may have some familiar buttons that you would have seen before in Microsoft Word or other similar programs. Below is a breakdown of what each button does.

Editor icons 03.png Source: Allows you to view the source code for any content inside the editor. This is most often for inserting YouTube videos into a story.

Editor icons 05.png Cut: Cuts copied text, hitting control + X functions as well.

Editor icons 06.png Copy: Copies highlighted text inside of the editor, hitting control + C functions as well.

Editor icons 07.png Paste: Pastes content into the editor, hitting control + V functions as well.

Editor icons 08.png Paste as Plain Text: Strips pasted text of all font and style definitions.

Editor icons 09.png Paste from Word: Takes content from word and allows for remove of font or style definitions.

Insert Code Snippet: Insert code snippet into the story

Editor icons 10.png Spellcheck: Clicking this button will give the option to enable SCAYT or Check Spelling.

Editor icons 12.png Undo: Undoes the last action.

Editor icons 13.png Redo: Redoes an action.

Editor icons 14.png Find: Finds content in the editor.

Editor icons 15.png Replace: Finds and replaces content in the editor.

Editor icons 16.png Select All: Selects all content in the editor.

Editor icons 17.png Remove Format: Clean the text of any formatting.

Editor icons 18.png Bold: Bold highlighted text.

Editor icons 19.png Italic: Italicizes highlighted text.

Editor icons 20.png Underline: Underlines highlighted text.

Editor icons 21.png Strikethrough: Puts a line through the text.

Editor icons 21.png Subscript: Changes highlighted text to subscript.

Editor icons 22.png Superscript: Changes highlighted text to superscript.

Editor icons 23.png Numbered List: Inserts/edits a Numbered List.

Editor icons 24.png Bullet List: Inserts/edits a Bullet List.

Editor icons 25.png Decrease Indent: Decreases the indent of selected text.

Editor icons 33.png Line: Inserts a horizontal line break into the editor.

Editor icons 42.png SIDEARM Gallery Widget: Inserts a photo gallery widget.

Editor icons 37.png Player Lookup: Manually inserts a link to a player's bio.

Editor icons 01.png Twitter Hashtags: Inserts a specific twitter hash tag in stories.

Editor icons 41.png Font Style: This bar allows you to change the font style of text in the editor.

Editor icons 41.png Font Size: This bar allows you to change the font size of text in the editor.

Format: Can assign a header designation to text in body.
