Batch Scheduling Live Events

Batch Scheduling allows you to create multiple live events at once, saving time and automatically generating all required Stream URLs and Stream Keys for your broadcasts.

Step 1: Navigate to Schedules

From the CMS backend, navigate to Schedules.

Locate the sport schedule you want to create live events for and select Edit.

Step 2: Select Games

In the Scheduled Games table:

  • To create live events for all games, select the checkbox in the upper-left corner of the table.

  • To create live events for specific games only, select the checkbox next to each game you plan to broadcast.

Step 3: Add Games to All-Access

After selecting your games:

  1. Open the Batch Operations dropdown menu.

  2. Select Add to All-Access.

  3. Click Go.

Step 4: Configure Event Settings

You will be presented with several options that will apply to all selected events.

Selected Games

Displays the list of games selected for broadcast.

Notes

For internal use only. This field is optional.

Event Starts

Enter the number of minutes before the scheduled game time that the event should become available.

Example: 90 minutes

This determines:

  • When the event becomes live to fans on your site.

  • When the stream is provisioned and available for connection.

Event Length

Enter the expected duration of the event in hours.

Event Poster Image

Select an image to be used as the thumbnail for all created live events.

Category

Typically set to Event.

Archive Category

Determines how the archived stream will be categorized after the event has ended.

External Media Source

Choose:

Yes if you are using a third-party source such as:

  • Radio station stream links

  • M3U8 streams

  • Other externally hosted media sources

  • Once Yes, is selected, choose your source pub point

No if you will be broadcasting using the generated RTMP Stream URL and Stream Key.

Contact Information

Provide the following information for the person available to assist with troubleshooting on game day:

  • Name

  • Email Address

  • Cell Phone Number

Stream Type

Select the appropriate stream type:

  • Video

  • Audio Only

Step 5: Create the Events

Once all settings have been reviewed and completed:

  1. Click Batch Add Events.

Event Creation Progress

After selecting Batch Add Events, the system will begin creating the live events.

A progress bar will appear at the bottom of the screen showing the status of the batch creation process.

  • The progress bar will advance as each live event is created.

  • Please do not navigate away from the page while the process is running.

  • Once the progress bar reaches 100%, the batch creation process is complete.

Confirmation of Success

After successful completion:

  • The page will automatically refresh and return you to the Schedules page.

  • A red All-Access (AA) icon will appear next to each game that now has an associated live event.

The red AA icon serves as a visual indicator that a broadcast has been successfully created for that game.

Next Steps

Each live event will automatically receive its own unique:

  • Stream URL

  • Stream Key

These credentials can be viewed, copied, exported, and shared from the Live Events section of the CMS.

You are now ready to connect your encoder and begin broadcasting when the event is provisioned.
