How to troubleshoot Live Stats

Here are a few steps to take when you encounter issues in setting up live stats for game.
The first and most important area to check is that you have internet working on the computer. We see this popup most often for those using a virtual machine to run StatCrew, if you open a browser and are not able to pull up a site while on a virtual machine, simply reboot it.

Legacy StatCrew via SIDEARM FTP
  • In Game Reports, double check that auto-copy is checked and the folder listed below matches the location of the distribution file in the SIDEARM FTP. We use "live" as an example to keep things streamlined among clients.
  • To test the connection between StatCrew and the SIDEARM FTP, active the SIDEARM FTP and then in Game Reports go to Live and click on Send Stat Files. This will copy the current game file to the "live" folder which would then be picked up by the SIDEARM FTP and uploaded to us.
  • If you do not see any dialogue in the SIDEARM FTP stating it is upload a file, then this means the auto-copy folder and the distribution file of choice do not match.

Legacy StatCrew via TASFTP
  • If experiencing issues sending from TASFTP, follow this sequence
  • Close out TASFTP Completely
  • In Game Reports go to Live and then TAS Diagnostic Mode
  • Click on FTP Setup, make sure Passive Mode is Checked, then click Ok and Exit TASFTP. (Do not hit transmit or start monitoring).
  • In Game Reports, click Live and then Send Stat files.
At this point, you should see TASFTP open and push through the file to us.

Presto Stats
  • If running soccer, be sure that both teams starting lineups have been entered before starting the game.
  • If running a neutral site game, you will need to have your live stat info entered into the other team's presto area.
  • If nothing is coming through from the SIDEARM option, you can try using the "other" option and then typing in all of our info like you would in Statcrew.

XML Share
  • The XML Share option allows you to pull in the Live Stats data of an opponent who is also using SIDEARM Live Stats to display on your portal or for use with infographics.
  • If you are the home team for a game, the XML Share field should always be empty.
